ABOUT VAL & JOHN'S DANCES
Join us for a great atmosphere! Val and Johns dances are designed to be social first and foremost. The dances comprise of a range of popular Sequence, Ballroom, Latin and Line Dancing. Singles, couples, beginners, everyone is welcome. You are free to come along just to watch or join in. The evenings are designed to be light hearted and fun. We also organise 1 or 2 holiday dances a year. For more details see the page here.
Each night the dance takes place we run a non-profit raffle which is well known to be the best raffle in the west!
Dances take place On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month and every Sunday, from 7.30pm - 10.30pm at The Blake Hall Bridgwater. Bar available as well as Tea and Coffee.
Admission is just £5.00. (See below list for Wednesday night dates)
Each Wednesday you will find The Music Man providing carefully selected music and our regular and very popular raffle.

Music Man (John)
John is one of the co-organisers of the dance. He has an extensive music collection and carfully creates each weeks musical running order, to allow for a range of styles and levels of dance. John is a typical cheeky-chappie on the mic. He is happy to take requests for tracks, as long as you buy him a pint!
Mark is a very popular DJ for us at The Blake Hall. He is a former drummer with an extensive musical background. Sometimes Mark plays drums with David Last on keyboard.
Kevin - KB Sounds
Kevin is a popular DJ and all around entertainer, always brings a smile to our faces when he graces our stage.
Len - Strict Tempo
A popular traditional DJ well known in the local area
On the weeks when the above are not playing we book a range of top social dance keyboard players from around the country. They include David Last, Larry Green, Richard Keeling, Philip Randles, Carl Webb and Graham Darby.
